Standing Firm for Christ

Building a new blog site is not my forte - as will soon be evident. However, without works there can be no fruit, so it seems best to take the plunge! The main thing today is best taken from God's Word, 2 Corinthians 1:20-24 NLT:

For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" And through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for His glory.
It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, and he has identified us a His own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything He has promised us.

Therefore, be encouraged to stand firm for the faith. We understand that life is not easy, but how much more do we rejoice in the confidence that Jesus is walking right beside us - no matter how severe the test? Rest assured,

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. when they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. ~ 2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV

Standing firm for Christ is the sweetest perfume to God our Father in heaven. It glorifies Him not as if we stand in our own strength, but in the power and majesty of His grace.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character,; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God as been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5: 1-5 NKJV
