Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies. ~ verses 1-3
There have been a few times in life that I felt when I helped someone that I was reaching out to an angel of God. The reason I suspected this is that I ended up being the one who was helped or touched by that person in a special way. Thinking that my own need was met in those cases, I felt that my prayers were being answered in a very special way. Conversely, if I failed to help someone, I felt that I had just missed an opportunity to meet an angel who was sent to minister to me. Weird, I know! Has this ever happened to you?
Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
"I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." ~ verse 5
So we can say with confidence,
"The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" ~ verse 6
Remember to follow the faithful examples set by our spiritual leaders who teach us the Word of God, and obey them. Do what they say, as they are accountable to God for watching over us.
Be confident in faith, for
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. ~ verse 8
He loves us, and never fails to intercede on our behalf to our Father in Heaven when we pray in His name. He does not abandon us no matter what!
